Install and get started in four steps
One installer for Word, Excel and WPS. The steps below use Excel as an example.
- Close Word, Excel, WPS Writer and WPS Spreadsheets completely before installing
- Download and run the TopCopilot installer. It automatically matches 32/64-bit systems and usually requires no administrator privileges
- Open Excel, select the AI Assistant ribbon tab, open the sidebar and sign in
- Choose full-sheet or selection translation, set the target language, and start translating
Translation Features for Excel and WPS Spreadsheets
After translating an entire sheet or a selection, use “Spreadsheet display” in the sidebar to switch betweenTranslation, Bilingual and Original. You can also select “Translate all worksheets” to translate every visible sheet in the workbook at once; advanced settings let you specify a translation font. Images can also be batch-translated while preserving the layout as closely as possible.

Frequently asked questions
Which versions does the Excel translation add-in support?
TopCopilot supports Microsoft Excel 2016 and later, including Office 365 / LTSC, and WPS Spreadsheets 2023+ on Windows 10/11.
Will translation affect formulas?
With selection translation, select only the text columns you need and leave formula and ID columns unselected. Full-sheet translation aims to recognize and preserve formula cells. After translation, spot-check important formulas such as SUM and VLOOKUP.
Where do I open the add-in after installation?
Open Excel, find the AI Assistant tab in the ribbon, and click it to open the sidebar.
How do I translate in WPS Spreadsheets?
After installing TopCopilot, open WPS Spreadsheets 2023+, open the sidebar from the AI Assistant ribbon tab, and choose full-sheet or selection translation.
Can I translate an Excel sheet with one click?
Yes. Select full-sheet translation and a target language, then start. For workbooks with multiple sheets, enable Translate all worksheets in advanced settings to translate all visible sheets in one run. To translate only part of a sheet, select the required cell range first.
Can I view the original and translation together afterward?
Yes. Table display in the sidebar offers Translation (translated text only), Bilingual (original above translation in the same cell), and Original (restore the pre-translation content). Switch at any time without translating again. Translations are not written into cell comments.
Can I choose the translation font?
Yes. Click the gear beside the target language and choose Translation font. The default is Automatic (follow original); you can also specify Microsoft YaHei, SimSun, Arial or another font to use when writing back translations.
Can I use the same installer for Word and WPS?
Yes. The same Windows installer supports Word, Excel, WPS Writer and WPS Spreadsheets.
