Install and get started in four steps
One installer for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and WPS. These steps use a presentation as the example.
- Completely close Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WPS Writer, WPS Spreadsheets and WPS Presentation before installing
- Download and run the TopCopilot installer. It automatically matches 32/64-bit systems and usually requires no administrator privileges
- Open PowerPoint or WPS Presentation, click the AI Assistant tab in the ribbon, open the sidebar and sign in
- Choose entire-presentation, current-slide or selection translation, set the target language and start translating
Translation Features for PowerPoint and WPS Presentation

Full-file upload translation vs TopCopilot sidebar
Presentation translation often means exporting a pptx file, uploading it to a web tool and downloading it again. The add-in writes translations back slide by slide inside PowerPoint to reduce misplaced text boxes and missed chart text.

Frequently asked questions
Which versions does the PowerPoint translation add-in support?
TopCopilot supports Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 and later, including Office 365 / LTSC, and WPS Presentation 2023 or later on Windows 10/11.
Do the PowerPoint and Word translation add-ins use the same installer?
Yes. One Windows installer registers the add-in for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WPS Writer, WPS Spreadsheets and WPS Presentation.
Where do I open the add-in after installation?
Open PowerPoint or WPS Presentation and click the AI Assistant tab in the ribbon to open the sidebar.
How do I translate in WPS Presentation?
Install TopCopilot, open WPS Presentation and use the AI Assistant tab in the ribbon to open the sidebar. Choose entire-presentation, current-slide or selection translation. The steps are the same as in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Can translations be written back in bilingual format in presentations?
PowerPoint and WPS Presentation currently write back translated text only. Word / WPS Writer and Excel / WPS Spreadsheets still support bilingual comparison; see their respective add-in pages.
Are selected-text translation and image translation supported?
Presentation hosts do not currently support selected-text lookup or translation of images within documents. Use selection translation to understand a specific passage. For image translation, use the Word or Excel sidebar.
Can I choose the translation font?
Yes. Click the gear beside the target language in the sidebar and choose a Translation font. By default, it follows the original text.
On a Mac or translating occasionally? Try the web app
Use the Windows add-in for presentations; the web app translates Word, Excel and PDF files.
