Excel Translation is not available
TRANSLATE displays #NAME?, the translation review pane is blank, and the entire table cannot be translated: troubleshoot by function / pane / entire table, or use the sidebar to translate the entire table.
- First, distinguish whether the function is unavailable, the translation pane cannot be opened, or Excel itself does not have a whole table translation button.
- It is normal that the buyout version Excel does not have TRANSLATE; if the pane is blank, check the network, Office updates and add-ons first.
- To translate tables in batches and retain formulas, use TopCopilot to translate the entire table in the sidebar.

Whole book translation and table display
Check "Translate all worksheets" to translate all visible tables at once; after translation, use "Table display" to switch between translation, bilingual and original text.
- The add-in requires 1.0.113 and above. Open "Full Table Translation" in the Excel or WPS Spreadsheets and click "Advanced Settings".
- Check "Translate all worksheets" and confirm the instructions: only visible tables will be translated, hidden tables will not be translated; it will take more time and points than just translating the current table.
- You can choose to write it back as "Translation" or "Bilingual" by default, then click "Start Translation".
- After the translation is completed, a "table display" will appear in the sidebar: click "Translated Text" for external transmission, click "Bilingual" for proofreading, and click "Original Text" before reading the translation.

Edge Translation failed
"This page cannot be translated" and the translation button is missing: check the language settings, Bing services and policy extensions, or use the web translation add-in for bilingual comparison.
- Try refreshing the page again; if it still fails, turn off the proxy/VPN, and turn on edge://settings/languages to confirm the translation switch.
- For company computers, check edge://policy; for personal computers, you can temporarily disable the extension and try again.
- When the built-in translation cannot be repaired, install the web page translation add-in and insert the translation below the original text.

Full-page translation
The entire document is translated and written back section by section to Word, which is suitable for reading and comparing; after the text is translated, the pictures and charts in the document can also continue to be translated. If there is no Windows, you can upload docx on the online translation page.
- It is recommended to save a copy in Word first and keep the original for comparison.
- Click "Full-text Translation" in the sidebar → select the target language → "Start Translation", and select the write-back method "Translation" or "Bilingual" in the pop-up box (you can check "Don't prompt next time", and then change it in the icon on the right side of the target language).
- The translation is written back to the text in paragraphs; the process can be paused or continued.
- In the sidebar, you can view the original text/translation by paragraph. If you are not satisfied, you can restore the paragraph to the original text.
- After the text is completed, if the document contains pictures or charts, you can follow the prompts to continue the picture translation and replace the original pictures.
