Install and get started in four steps

One installer covers Word / Excel / WPS; the examples below use the Excel sidebar AI Assistant.

Close Word, Excel, WPS Writer and WPS Spreadsheets completely before installing
Download and run the TopCopilot installer. It automatically matches 32/64-bit systems and usually requires no administrator privileges
Open Excel, select the AI Assistant ribbon tab, open the sidebar and sign in
In the sidebar, choose AI Assistant chat, upload an image or PDF, or describe in natural language what should be written to the sheet

What can Excel AI Assistant do?

Sidebar chat covers image-based form filling, PDF extraction and natural-language formula writing; whole-sheet translation and other features are available in the same installer.

Whole-sheet translation

Translate product lists and quotation sheets in the sidebar. Translations are written back to cells while preserving formulas and formatting where possible.

Coding Agent

For complex spreadsheet scripting and batch-processing tasks, use Coding Agent in the sidebar to execute your instructions (advanced users).

Web AI tools vs. Excel sidebar AI Assistant

Moving screenshots and PDFs into a spreadsheet often means uploading them online, downloading a file, then reopening Excel. The sidebar completes the work inside the original document. What is the difference between Excel AI Assistant and the Excel translation add-in?

Excel AI Assistant focuses on sidebar conversations: image-to-Excel conversion, PDF-to-spreadsheet extraction, natural-language formula writing and more. Translation features such as whole-sheet, selection and selected-text translation are included in the same sidebar and installer; see the Excel translation add-in page for details.

Which Excel versions are supported?

TopCopilot supports Microsoft Excel 2016 and later, including Office 365 / LTSC, and WPS Spreadsheets 2023+ on Windows 10/11.

How accurate are image and PDF recognition?

Image clarity, scan quality and merged cells all affect recognition. Upload clear files and spot-check headers and key figures after writing the data back; complex spreadsheets can be extracted in stages.

Can I use the same installer for Word and WPS?

Yes. The same Windows installer supports Word, Excel, WPS Writer and WPS Spreadsheets.
