Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Image to Word and image translation?
Image to Word produces an editable .docx and preserves the original formatting and document illustrations where possible. It suits application forms, scans and illustrated instructions. Image translation The output is a translated image: the text remains on the image and the layout follows the source image.
How is this different from Image to Excel?
For cells, filtering and sums, use Image to Excel . To keep editing paragraphs, tables and choices in Word with illustrations from the image where possible, use Image to Word.
Can the layout match the original image exactly?
Pixel-perfect reproduction is not guaranteed. TopCopilot aims to preserve headings, table structure and separate option lines, and keeps illustrations as embedded Word images where possible. Red checkmarks, stamps and exact line wrapping may differ from the source, so check key fields after downloading.
Will diagrams in the image be included in Word?
TopCopilot aims to preserve them. During recognition, document illustrations are separated from the scan and inserted into the .docx as movable, replaceable images instead of flattening the whole page into a background image. Complex overlapping text, low resolution or cropped images may differ in position and clarity; check them after opening the file.
Which formats and file sizes are supported?
PNG, JPG / JPEG, WebP and BMP are supported, up to 10 MB per image and one image at a time. File types are detected from their content, so renaming an extension does not work.
Can I paste a screenshot directly?
Yes. Paste with Ctrl+V in the browser upload area, or use Paste screenshot or Ctrl+V in the Word add-in panel.
How are credits charged?
Credits are charged first for document parsing by page, then for refinement tokens. Your balance is checked before upload (about 200 credits minimum by default). If refinement fails, the recognition draft is still delivered.
Can I use it on a Mac or phone?
